Fang is usually decently friendly, letting those without hostile intentions approach him and treating them as politely as he would any other stranger. He's quick to go on the defensive, however, and doesn't trust people who come off as intimidating or with a nasty aura.
He's fairly literal-minded, missing the complexities of human language. On top of that, a lot of things humans consider basic social grace completely go pass him. He's laid on people he's never met before or outright taken some of their food off their plates and seen nothing wrong with it until it was explained to him, for instance. However, when it is explained, he remembers it and does his best to apply it later.
Despite being forward and rough, he's fairly intelligent, and can pick up on things quickly with a patient teacher.
When it comes to his mate Takumi, Fang is adoring and adorable. He constantly fawns over Takumi, feels like his mate is the prettiest human around, and just in general acts like a lovesick puppy around him. He's fully aware of Takumi's self-esteem issues, however, and does his best to chew those to shreds whenever they come up. To him, Takumi was the most beautiful human with an immense strength that made him fall in love at first sight, then had a just as beautiful and strong heart to go with it. Fang is so in love that Takumi that any teasing him about being cute or sweet in relation to the archer will make him blush and growl poutingly.
That is a very distinct opposite to the way Fang usually handles being called cute, which is by growling and protesting that he's absolutely not.
He's a very jokey and casual sort of person, and can take sharp jabs and give them right back -- he and Kohaku both often make fun of each other in a way that wound sound nasty to anyone else but is in good humor between the both of them.
He's violently protective of those he loves, especially his pack (Kohaku, Kohaku's mate, Takumi, and their children). Even simple insults can cause him to retaliate, anywhere from a punch to an outright bite.
